Synesthesia

This all in one event takes you into the mind and experience of a Bipolar patient,  following an independent film that outlines the .experiences of mania, depression, and treatment of Bipolar . The concepts of stigma, self-acceptance, and recovery willall be explored. The evening ends with a reception where the audience can participate in a group art project, live music, share their story, and connect with others building empathy and community.  During the reception, there will be a silent auction with proceeds donated to a local mental health clinic, and the opportunity for community members diagnosed with mental illness to share their art. What is an immersive show you ask? The show will happen all around you! And you will be given many things to touch, smell and taste while you experience the performance inviting you to have your own synesthetic experience. You might even be ask to join in on the show if you are comfortable. Synesthesia is a part of LuneAseas’ Directors Initiatives Program that gives creative freedom and voice to emerging directors who are creating innovative and thought-provoking work for the community.
